Scott D. Reynolds, PhD

Scott Reynolds is a veteran of Formulation, Vaccine and Chemical Process Development in the Pharmaceutical Industry. During his 31 years in Merck’s Research Laboratories and Manufacturing Divisions, Scott led groups responsible for a broad segment of the product development life cycle from early toxicology support and all phases of clinical supply through manufacturing plant start-up and commercial product support. In his roles as Executive Director of Pharmaceutical R&D, VP Chemical Process Development and Commercialization, VP Pharmaceutical Commercialization Technology, and AVP Formulation Sciences, Scott directed laboratory-based teams and pilot plant operations staff in the US, Europe, and Puerto Rico. Under his direction these teams were responsible for early and late stage API programs, solid oral dosage formulations, and parenteral product development.
Scott received a BS in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University, and MS and PhD degrees, also in Chemical Engineering, from the University of Virginia. He currently consults on topics related to CMC development and manufacturing support with a variety of clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.
